Meerkat is not free software, and is licensed on a per-site basis. Each site must also have an appropriate Statamic License.

Beta Period and Development (Trial) Access

Meerkat is free to use locally during official beta and testing periods. Meerkat may also be used locally during the development process of your site without requiring a license key.

Acquisition and Redistribution

Meerkat may only be obtained through official channels (the Statamic Marketplace, and those specified in the installation guide). Meerkat may redistributed only in the capacity that it is part of a larger work for a client.

Repackaging, bundling, or making available Meerkat (or derivative works) as part of free/paid distributable package is strictly prohibited; for clarity:

• Developing a Statamic site with Meerkat and sending those files to a client is okay,
• Developing a Meerkat addon and redistributing that is okay,
• Transferring licenses to a client is okay,
• Customizing the Meerkat addon and/or Core and distributing that to a client is okay,
• Customizing the Meerkat addon and/or Core and making it available outside of a developer/client relationship is not okay,
• Developing and distributing a theme, template, or site builder that includes Meerkat template code is okay as long as Meerkat is not included in the distribution package,
• Redistributing Meerkat as part of an addon bundle, site builder, etc. is not okay

Version Updates

Each paid Meerkat license entitles the owner to all updates for the major version it was purchase for. For example, if a license was purchased at version 2.0.2, you would be able to upgrade for free even at version 2.9.0.

Some features may be sold separately, and major version updates may be made available as a paid upgrade, or require a new license to be purchased. An example of a major version update would be going from version 2.x to version 3.x.

Supported Statamic Versions

The development of Meerkat 2 will target the latest Statamic 3 release.

Meerkat 1 for Statamic 2 is in support mode, and will receive fixes for major bugs and security updates. Meerkat 1 for Statamic 2 only supports the latest release of Statamic 2.

Stillat, LLC does not offer phone support. There are no guarantees on the response timelines for support requests, most requests are responded to within 72 hours. Data Privacy for Addon and Feature Developers

Developers creating addons or custom features for Meerkat must never trigger the built-in error submission and telemetry submission APIs through automated code. Submission of any data must always be the result of human interaction, and only after the user has reviewed the data that will be submitted.

White Labeling, Custom Development, and Custom Feature Requests

If the typical licensing agreement does not fit your needs, or you are looking for white-labeling options, custom development, or need a custom feature implemented into Meerkat for Statamic 3, please contact worktogether@stillat.com. Custom development incurs a consulting fee; we will work together to develop a solution that best suites your needs. Not all custom requests are accepted.

You may be referred to other consulting companies, developers, or service providers if we cannot handle the request in a timely manner.

Refunds

Stillat, LLC offers refunds on software within 14 days of purchase. Please contact refunds@stillat.com for assistance.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stillat, LLC for any third-party claims, actions or suits, as well as any related expenses, liabilities, damages, settlements or fees arising from your use or misuse of the Software, or a violation of any terms of this license.

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
